Hosting & winning at the SGD Awards

Last Friday, the great and the good in Landscape and Garden Design gathered in London for the SGD industry awards.  The event was hosted by our own Ann-Marie Powell.

But even more excitingly, we were delighted to win the award for the ‘Healing or Learning Garden’ category for the Greenfingers Garden ‘Chestnut Tree House’.

Chestnut House

We’re thrilled to receive the award in recognition for the garden at Chestnut House Children’s Hospice. Greenfingers is a charity very close to Ann-Marie’s heart, and Chestnut House was her first involvement with their wonderful work, bringing beautiful gardens to children’s hospices around the UK.

Ann-Marie said “In my near twenty years designing gardens, the Chestnut Tree House space is perhaps my proudest moment as a professional. The build was extremely challenging, driving rain for weeks on end and freezing frosts in the depths of winter handled magnificently by local landscape contractors and friends Garden House Design.  We couldn’t have won this award without them.”
